The Itinerary in detail:

Day 1 Sunday:

-Arrive in Muscat. Upon arrival, you will be met by Our representative. A bus will take you to your 5 star deluxe hotel. Enjoy your dinner at the hotel.

Day 2 Monday:

-After breakfast, you will meet your Tour Guide for a welcome briefing, followed by a visit to the Grand Mosque of Oman, the Mosque of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, one of the landmarks of Oman. Ladies should wear attire covering their arms and legs and should cover their heads with a scarf. Shorts are not accepted for both men and women. Next Visit will be Mutrah to visit the fish and vegetable Souqs in Oman's largest Traditional Souq. Continue to visit old Muscat and see the Sultan's Al Alam Palace. You will see at the entrance of Muscat bey the twin Forts of Jalali and Mirani. You will also visit Bait Al Zubair Museum and the Opera House. for a fine display of Omani culture and history. After lunch, proceed to Qantab beach via the fishing villages of Sidab & Haramel. Spend some time at leisure on the beach. From here, we take you to the modern shopping complex in Al Qurum. Wrap the day by taking a drive along the embassy area and then on to the corniche, which gives a spectacular outlook of the Muscat city with lights.

Day 3 Tuesday:

-The tour departs Muscat in the morning towards Sur. We start with Wadi Al Arbeieen. After a photo stop at the Bimah sinkhole (swimming in the sinkhole lake is possible) and the long white Beach of Fins, we arrive in Wadi Shab for a photo stop. This Wadi is an enormous canyon gorge that is lined with palm trees and impressive indications of what the power of the water coming down from the mountains can do in nature. We continue to the City of Sur for lunch. After lunch we visit the famous Arabian Dhow Factory, where you can see traditional wooden Dhows being built. After Lunch, we will drive along the coast until Ras Al Hadd. In the afternoon you can relax on the beach. In the evening, we take you to the Turtle Sanctuary at Ras Al Jinz. Here we will go on a guided walking tour on the beach at night under the stars, where we have a high chance of seeing Oman great sea turtles stumbling on to the beach to build a nest and lay the eggs. If you are lucky, you can even see baby turtles hatching from some nests.

Day 4 Wednesday:

-You spend a the morning relaxing on the beach before driving on to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the largest and most beautiful Wadis in Oman. Here you can swim, sunbath, relax and have a picnic in the beautiful scenic wadi canyons. In the late afternoon, we continue to our desert camp in the Wahiba Sands desert, where you take part in an adventurous 4x4 Sand dune drive, and then we will watch the stunning sunset of the desert on one of the big sand dunes. We finish the day with a Dinner at the camp and a nice relaxing time around a romantic campfire.

Day 5 Thursday:

-Early in the morning, you will have a chance to sign up for an optional balloon ride or a camel ride. After breakfast, we drive to the city of Ibra. There we will visit the colorful local Market (Souq) and the old Village of Ibra. After Lunch, we drive on towards Nizwa, the old capital city of Oman. Before we reach Nizwa, we visit Birkat Al Mouz and Falaj Al Khatmeen to see an old irrigation system in Oman. Afterwards, we continue to Nizwa and arrive there in the afternoon. After the Hotel check-in, you have free time for the rest of the day.

Day 6 Friday:

- We start the day early to visit the Nizwa Souq. It is among the largest of its kind in Oman. Vendors offer their goods in the streets of the souk from 05:00 am to about 10:00 am each morning. Here you can find fish, meat, vegetables, pottery, jewelry, handicrafts and souvenirs, which are sold in the authentic old market halls. Especially interesting is the Friday cattle market, when the locals from the nearby Villages come to sell their donkeys, goats, cattle, sheep and chickens in a circus style open market place. Next to the Souq is Nizwa Fortress. The fort is a museum today and offers splendid views of this ancient town and the surrounding mountains. You can walk around in this impressive fortress and visit its many rooms, passages and towers. The fort is an architectural testimony to the economic and military achievements of the early Yaruba Dynasty from the mid-17th Century. It was a military stronghold designed to withstand even the strongest attacks at the time. From Nizwa we drive to Misfath al Abreen. This picture village lies on a steep slope at the foot of Jebel Shams, a few miles from the village of Al Hamra and consists of old homes and narrow streets. For the next stop, you will visit the Jabrin Castle (The castle that was originally designed as a residential palace in 1670 by Sultan Bin Saif Al in the Ya'arubi Dynasty. An extensive renovation was carried out in 1984. The interior includes various furniture and traditional utensils to provide visitors with a taste of the period. The building itself is decorated with elaborate woodcarvings, ceiling paintings and stucco work.

Day 7 Saturday:

- Today we drive up the Jebel Shams Mountain. On the way there, we make a stop to the ancient village of AL Hamra to visit a cute little museum, Bait Al Safa. You will see a traditional 7-bedroom house. They will also demonstrate how they used to make coffee, food and pottery in the old days. You will be lead into a Majlis (Omani living room) to have Omani coffee/tea and dates. From there we start the drive up the Jebel Shams Mountain to the Resort where we spend the night. After our check-in, you have leisure time for the rest of the day. You can spend the afternoon walking around the famous Grand Canyon of Oman. There are many different walking paths to choose from. The Canyon offers spectacular views of the valleys below.

Day 8 Sunday:

In the morning, we drive down the mountain into Wadi Bani Awf. This mountain road drive is one of the most adventurous in Oman, offering

exciting off-road experience and fantastic views. Once we reach the Valley (Wadi Bani Awf), the road leads us through the Wadi for about 1 ½ hours while passing many small villages. Afterwards we visit Nakhal Fort and

Thowarah Hot Spring before we drive back to Muscat.

Day 9 Monday:

You take the flight in the morning to Salalah (1 ½ hours). Take the rest of

the day for leisure. You can relax on the beach, or explore Salalah City.

Day 10 Tuesday:

Salalah East: Taqa, Sumharam, Wadi Darbat,

Ayn Razat.

We drive first to Taqah, which has historic and scenic attractions going back thousands of years. We also visit the port city of Sumharam, which controlled the maritime trade of frankincense. The dazzling Darbat waterfalls and ancient mountain villages are but a few of the well-known historical and scenic landmarks in the Governorate of Dhofar. See the fantastic views of the Dhofari Coastline and the Indian Ocean from Jebel Samhan. There are several shallow caves in the limestone hills along the northern side of the spring and pool. Ain Razat is the most important source of spring water in Dhofar. It used to be one of the main sources of water for Salalah. Its water as well as several smaller springs flows into a long pool on the northern side of the car park at the foot of the mountain. After Ain Razat, we drive back to Salalah.

Day 11 Wednesday:

Salalah West: frankincense trees, Mughsayl, Nabi Ayub

We start the day with a visit to Mughsayl, a popular beach west of Salalah. Here you can see the blowholes. When the waves from the sea hit the rock, because of these vents on the ground, air and water is forced up the vent and comes up almost like a fountain, but the volume of water and force of air is surprisingly strong. It is something that is very enjoyable when you are actually waiting near the blowholes for the air and water to spray up. Around the area, you have the chance to see the famousfrankincense trees. Dhofar has known frankincense since time immemorial, and frankincense is mentioned in ancient history books. It is known to be the best in the world and has brought the region to great wealth thousands of years ago, when frankincense was more valuable than gold. The last stop is another popular tourist attraction, the Nabi Ayub Grave. This tomb is inside a mosque, where, supposedly, Nabi Ayub (Prophet Job) buried. Then we drive back to Salalah.

Day 12 Thursday:

Today we fly back to Muscat. Enjoy the day at leisure.

After breakfast you will be transported to the airport for your departure

back home.
